Group Therapy

Group therapy is a form of counseling that involves one or more licensed counselors who deliver counseling services to several individuals in the same setting on a consistent basis. It provides an opportunity for individuals who are going through a similar circumstance or condition to come together.

Some examples of conditions or circumstances include:

  • Grief
  • Anger Management
  • Weight Loss
  • Cultural Trauma
  • Chronic Illness
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Depression
  • Phobias

Sharing their feelings, experiences, and pain with a group can help people release anger and pent-up emotions. Meeting other people recovering from or working through similar circumstances and conditions helps people realize that they are not alone.

All groups are administered by licensed counselors that are independently contracted with Cornerstone.
